As the purchase process is handled by Apple itself and developers only get notified about the results it's hard to support there, but here are some suggestions based on previously resolved requests:
- You can try to "purchase" the item again. If you are logged in with the Apple ID you've purchased the item originally, the App Store should detect that and on the last step prompt something like "you've already purchased this item before, do you want to download it for free" instead of asking for Face ID/Touch ID.
- If you don't get the "for free" prompt you can try to delete the app and download it again. It's a known bug on Apple's side that sometimes the validation of purchase receipts gets stuck on the devices. By uninstalling and reinstalling the app you can force the device to update the receipt.
- If it still requires Face ID/Touch ID and a payment please check your payment history. Customers reported in rare cases that they've got an unexpected refund from Apple which meant that the access to that item got revoked. If you search for "Varys" in the App Store on the product detail page right above the screenshots section there is another section called "in app purchases". In there it should show all items with status "purchased" instead of the price if you bought it. If that's not the case it means you don't own the item any longer. In that case unfortunately developers can't do anything, here I would ask you to get in touch with the App Store Customer Support to figure out, why this is the case.
