Plex and Tautulli have completely different criteria when media gets added to the play history. If you compare to the play history on app.plex.tv, you will find that the history in Varys is an exact match of that. Plex marks an item as played if a user passes the 90% mark or marks the item as played manually. At that point the item will be added to the history. Tautulli on the other hand adds items to the history once a users plays it for some time (~5‑10 minutes).
